Here I will write about the things I learn during Reading Block.

The Simpsons

I put the Simpsons movie on my blog because I went to see it at the movies with my friends to see it and I liked it so match I decided to show you some of the stuff in it.And my favourite bits are when he tries to save his family with a demolisher but he hit him self with it and when it stoped it guest started again.And my favourite character is Bart Simpsons because he is gest like a spy by the why he dose stuf.

To day I read a book called Woolvs In The Sitee by Anne Spudvilas and Margaret Wild.

Reading Response;

I thout it was hard to read because the Margaret made the boy to sa city like this sitee.

I liked how Anne Spudvilsas make the picturs all out off charcoal and water colours.

And how they made it seam so reail to read.

Polar Lands

Today I read a book about the North Pole and the South Pole by Claire Wafts.

Reading Response:

I didn't know that around the middle of the Earth the sun's rays are closer together making the lands here hot.

It is interesting that at the poles, the Earth curves away from the sun so the rays spread over a wider area that weakens the sun's power making the poles cold.

I would like to know more about the North and South Poles and what will happen when it all melts with globing warming and what happens to all the animals like the penguins.

I didn't like to see all that waste on the poles and what it can do to.

It is interesting that an igloo has a window made from clear ice and has an air hole on the top of it. I think it must still be cold to live in.

Rocks And Mineral

To day I read a book about Rocks and Minerals
Reading Response

I didn't know that the Earth has has been around for 4,600 million years.

I found out that platinum is more valuable then gold.

I didn't know that Obsidian is formed by lava rapidly cooling.

I found out that rocks can be formed by gases.And this is how it happens when dormant or dying volcinic gases may escape and hot springs form and this is how this is how some rock get formed.

Commando ANZACS At War Comics

At home I'm reading about ANZAC war stories.

I liked it when Luke's friend tride to kill him and then there was a big war over it but lots of people died in that story.

It was sad that the offecr died but Luke became the new offecr and won the war.

I thout that it was good that luke didn't kill his old friend.

I think this book is good if you like war stories and people who die.

ps. there is only one book in the school so far.

Antarctica the frozen continent

I read a book about Antarctica by Greg Reid.

I found out that Antarctica is one of the harshest environments for life on Earth.

I didn'tknow that its' isolation and cold climate protected it from discovery for many years.

I didn't know that it was the largest continent in the world and was the last to be discovered.

Ididn't know that New Zealand and Tasmania are exactally the same distance away from Antarctica and that South America is only 960 kilometres away.

I found out that it once went below -89.2 degrees.

I didn't know that it once had forests 150 to 40 million years ago.
